...I will be mainly racing with my team-mate ChrisB.
I guess the best way to describe it is a 6 hour team-based triathlon but swap the swimming for canoeing, the road run for orienteering and the cycling for off-road mountain biking.
Wish me luck

I'm with Carl....lots of respect for people who do that stuff...especially for a cause.
As for running...nope...
I used to ride my bike about 10miles on Saturday and Sunday, but since my bike got stolen...I have yet to get another bike...so I just do some walking on weekends now.

Cheers Guys
This is more of a hobby. I took part in the Microsoft UK Challenge this year as team captain for one of teams entered by my company. This was a 4.5 day race of a similar structure. We finished 18th out of 119 teams and between us raised ?450,000 for the NSPCC (National Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children).
The US Version is later this year in October - http://www.challengerworld.com/ Sponsored by Fortune, taking place in the Blue Ridge Mountains
It's an adrenaline and team thing And it's a damn sight healthier than spending weekends down the pub drinking!
I don't know if it is televised in the US but I will be running in the "Great North Run" next month, it's one of the biggest 1/2 marathons in the UK. Easy enough to spot - I will be wearing a bright red New Generation Rockstars T-Shirt signed by Vain

Coolness! Remind me before the US one and I will look for listings on TV!
I was running two miles a day for a few years there, then I took a fall on some ice and blew out my knee REALLY bad. Wasn't able to stand-up unassisted or walk normal for about 4 months. At 35, healing seems to take a little bit longer. Having never been much of a runner before in my life (always felt the only time I would run was from somebody trying to kill me, and even then I would try and just do a fast walk), it's tough finding the desire to get back to it. I hate it. But those of you that are that into it, and actually do it for "fun", I have nothing but respect. That is some tough stuff to do!
